Morgan Food Imports serves a variety of different markets. We carry a large line of specialty meat such as Lamb, Goat, Mutton, Beef, seafood and a variety of different cuts! We proudly service the Halal Markets, as well as other retailers and regional wholesalers.
We are a second generation family owned wholesale distribution business. Our location in Maryland opened in 2021 and began local routes but quickly grew, and today we are proud to say we offer delivery services from New York to North Carolina. The Sister companies provide the same level of service in Georgia, Florida, and throughout the Midwest.
The Owner
Ahmad
Ahmad immigrated from Afghanistan as a refugee in the 1980s. From there, he started his career as a cook in a local fast-food restaurant. After gaining experience, he decided to branch out and open his restaurant in Harlem. It was here that he saw a lack of suppliers for Halal restaurants and decided he would take that hurdle on. He opened his own wholesale distribution business with a single truck in 1991. His primary goal was supplying the local Halal Fast food restaurants. Fast forward to today, and he currently has a fleet of 22 trucks operating throughout New York and its surrounding areas.
David
David, a licensed pharmacist, received his Doctoral PharmD Degree from St. Johns University in 2012. He began his career at a large chain pharmacy, and in 2017, he decided to branch out and open an independent pharmacy in Long Island, which is still operating today.
From there, he always envisioned working with his family and growing their established business. In 2021 he took the leap of faith and opened Morgan Food Imports in Maryland. Starting with just a handful of deliveries daily to local niche markets, Morgan Food Imports can now proudly claim they offer delivery throughout the East Coast, with a variety of different customers including ethnic and domestic customers.
